All This for $8 Rummage Sale Scores

A quilted cosmetic pouch with a Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle) applique on it.  Honu's have special meaning to me.
A brand new with tags (Midgey is trying to eat the tag) long sleeved shirt.
A long sleeved shirt from Coldwater Creek and a soft pink sleeveless shirt from Chico's
Four dvds of movies that we wanted and a Winter Jam dvd of the bands we saw at Winter Jam several years ago.
Two long sleeved shirts and two brand new short sleeved shirts.
A pretty and very soft flowing shirt.

A beautiful brand new felted wool tote bag with lots of inside pockets.

I also got a shirt for the little boys that they took home with them before I could get a picture of it.

  1. Wow what a haul! I need to shop with you. Lots of snow up in your part of the country.

    1. These were from the Boy Scout Rummage Sale fundraiser. I paid more than their suggested donation because it is going towards buying tents for them. :) Yes, we did have lots of snow but it is starting to melt off. My son Chris has 4 inches up at their place just north of Potlatch and my oldest grandkids were out sledding as soon it got light this morning. :)

  2. My thoughts, too - what a haul!! You do so well at thrift stores and the like.
From the previous post - thanks for the prayers. I'm sticking to just the multi vitamin this week and have upped the dose to daily from alternate days.
About the Pao fruit - if they're anything like tomatillos, they'll reseed themselves if you let some of really ripe fruit fall to the ground. At least that's what happened with my tomatillos. So then you only have to buy the seed once.
    Cheers, SJ

    1. Thanks for the suggestion on the Poha seeds. I will definitely have to try that. :) I hope you are staying warm. I'm curled up on the loveseat next to the pellet stove right now. It got too cold too fast for me.

  4. You found a lot of great things--and Boy Scouts are always a good cause. I saw this little, bitty Boy Scout selling popcorn outside of a store, and asked him how much the caramel corn cost. To my shock--it was $10 for a small bag around the size of a quart ziplock, and the large bag--like a bag of chips--was $25!!! Yikes. I just couldn't do it. So, I gave him $3 bucks and told him to apply it to his camp and activities. I noticed several others had done the same, and I'm glad. He cam keep his overpriced popcorn, and still get to participate. I'll bet a lot of that huge price goes to the popcorn company anyway!!

    1. Becky, I was shocked at the prices of the popcorn that was being sold as a fundraiser also. I know that there has been a steep decline in their popcorn sales...one wonders why they have not realized that it is because the price is way too high.

  5. Wow! You did great!! It's sort of hit and miss for me. Lots of times I buy clothing and then end up redonating, because I never wear them. You scored big!!

  10. Hope you're still warm and cozy by your pellet stove.
I sent you the recipe for the curry red lentil soup. Finally made it last night. Yum.Enough leftover for dinner tonight but think I will cook up some chicken breast in my instant pot and add some shredded chicken to the soup.
I'm tucked into the house today. I'm doing really well considering my good friend is moving today. Yesterday was a bit rough but I'm done with the tears. Seems I'm moving through that 'grief cycle' rather quickly-hahaha.
    Cheers, SJ
