I know I have not been giving this blog much attention for the past 5 days. You see, we knew bad weather was coming and it arrived today. It is currently dark, dreary and raining outside, with snow to follow within the next few days. Before this weather system came in, my husband and I were busy getting things done outside in the yard to prepare for the bad weather. It was not all work though. Walks were taken and time spent with the grandboys and our kids were made a top priority. Here is just a glimpse of what we have been up to...
Happy Fall!
Looks like fun! Perfect fall days--good memories for the upcoming dreary ones. We are expecting buckets of rain, starting tonight! Even now, it looks like it's rolling in and it's only 2pm.
ReplyDeleteI love your squirrel picture! Great shot:)
Thanks Becky! We had rain here earlier, but it has now cleared up (for the time being) and is beautiful! I hope you all have a nice and cozy evening. :)
DeleteGlad you took some quiet time to enjoy! we don't do that enough. Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and dry!
It's cold and rainy here too.
Thanks Cheryl. Beautiful Fall weather and my family bring me great joy! Sounds like you and I are having the same kind of weather today. Hope you stay cozy today also. :)
DeleteGreat photos - fun in the park! And look how baby-Steven has grown..wow.
ReplyDeleteSnow is predicted in my neighborhood tomorrow night and Friday/ Yikes. Snow this early in the city is really early for us. It usually hits the US Thanksgiving wkd at the earliest. Not this year - but we'll see if the forecast holds. At least almost all the trees around my apartment have dropped their leaves. I got my oil changed in my car this morning which was one of the last things I really wanted to get done before bad weather.
Today was a glorious Fall day - full sun and cloudless until about 3
Take good care. SJ
Hi SJ. :) The snow really had been early this year. I can't believe we had snow in mid October here. I'm glad the leaves are mostly dropped for you so that means less of a chance of losing power from heavy wet snow. Good for you for getting your car ready...we still have a radiator flush to do next Monday and need to rotate the tires on my car. Be blessed!
DeleteWe had some flurries this morning. Thankfully nothing stuck. It was been rainy and gray here. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some sunshine before the weather turned.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendi...did Megan enjoy seeing the first snow of the season? It always seems magical to me. :) Sorry about the gray and wet...I can handle a few days of that and then it just becomes depressing.
DeleteAwesome! Spending time with grandchildren is the BEST!! Your pic's are so pretty with all the fall colors. You had snow??? yikes!
ReplyDelete:) We had snow in mid October already and are expecting more this weekend. You are right about spending time with the grandkids...it really is the best!
DeleteBeing here in Hawaii, has actually made me miss snow. I never thought I'd say that, but one good snowfall would be nice. I hope you share lots of snow pictures this winter, Debbie:-) M
ReplyDeleteHi M. :) Where are you living in Hawaii? I was raised on the Big Island. :)
DeleteWe are at Schofield Barracks on Oahu.
DeleteSoak in some of that sunshine for me (once all the rain clears). Make sure to go to the North Shore to watch the huge surf competition that they have there...it's amazing!
DeleteWe caught up to you. Woke up to snow this morning. It's not bad, yet. I can still see the grass poking through and the sidewalks are clear. Forecast, though, is for more snow today.
ReplyDeleteCheers, SJ
Hi SJ, our temps are dropping and we are expecting snow later this evening. I'm thinking going to the park tomorrow for a picnic with the little boys is off the table. ;) We'll bring them home here for a movie and hot tub day. :) Stay warm and dry my friend!
DeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful Fall.
ReplyDeleteWe did and I am so glad we got out and enjoyed it before the snow came tonight. :)
DeleteLooks like you made the best of the evening before the storm hit! So much fun in the park with your family! It is a lot of work to get ready for snow, but glad you found time to play too! We got 8" here, approximately, with more on the way, they say coming tomorrow. Wow, I guess fall just got shoved out the back door! LOL... hugs to you today :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Marilyn, that is a lot of snow! I hope you are not doing the "shoveling". Praying for continued healing for you!
DeleteThe autumn leaves in your photos are just lovely, Debbie. We don't get snow where I live, way too hot! Meg:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg. One of the things I love most about living in this area is that we get to experience all 4 seasons...albeit Fall was rather short this year. ;)
