On the Menu for Tomorrow

Our temperatures are expected to drop drastically tomorrow with a high of only 55F.  Between the lower temperatures and me overdoing it today and hurting my back, I am thinking some good old fashioned comfort food is in order.  I have everything I need to make Broccoli Cheese Soup.  It's another one of my throw it together soups that I don't have a set in stone recipe for.  Looking forward to having this and some homemade biscuits  for dinner tomorrow. :)

    1. It's basically a thin white sauce that I add some chicken stock to instead of just milk, add some cheese to taste and add your cooked broccoli. I use an immersion blender to puree some of the broccoli. :)

  2. Oh, I love me some Broccoli Cheese Soup. So yummy! We are having a cold spell here too, I'm hating it! Soup is perfect for this type of weather though. I have a feeling we'll be having more Chicken Noodle Soup here again tonight! :-)

  3. Your soup looks yummy. Sorry to hear about your back.
Our weather is much like yours - a cooling trend. I'm actually very glad as I can take a day or two off from watering at the community garden plots. Yes, plural. I have three plots. Next year I will drop down to two. It took me four years on a wait list to get into the 3rd one.
My dinner is ready as well. Made a simple taco filling last night. Yum. Cheers, SJ in Vancouver BC

    1. Three plots...that is a lot of work SJ. We had rain here last night and it looks like it might rain again today. Our rain barrel is overflowing!

    2. Hope you're feeling better today. I did an errand earlier in the morning and now I'm in for the day. Thank goodness it rained last night! No need to go to the gardens. Yes, three plots is a bit much but each plot is only 4ft X 8ft. And one of the gardens has a watering calendar so each person only has to water three times the whole summer - genius, really. 1. Barbara, it's not really a recipe. It's just something I throw together. In my reply to Mountain Mama above I shared my "method" LOL!
