Glimpse of Home for Our Josh
Our son Josh is in the Air Force and is stationed across the country from us. I thought it might be nice for him to see some glimpses of home today. Love you baby boy!
Great pictures. I love that part of the country. Did I mention I used to work for the state and had to travel a lot for work. Loved EasternWA. FYI - from an earlier post. I found the name of those egg rolls. they are actually labeled 'crispy vegetable spring rolls'. The front of the package says Sum-m!and the back says made by Fine Choice Foods in Richmond BC. Bought them at my Safeway. Funny enough, they were in the frozen food section next to the breakfast food and not the dinner food. Hope you can find them. Cheers, SJ in Vancouver BC
SJ, no, you had not mentioned that you had to travel to this area for work, just that you brought your dog down for treatment at WSU. :) Thank you for the name of those egg rolls, I will be looking for them at Safeway!
Oh my goodness. These pictures just scream Pacific Northwest. Now I'm feeling a bit homesick. I love the area in the summer when everything is green and alive, and you put your sweaters away till winter. Or at least October :-)
The pictures are gorgeous Debbie! I hope you had a great holiday weekend!
Hi Jessica! This time of year it is gorgeous with all the green fields of barley, wheat, peas, garbanzos, peas and lentils growing. It looks like a big patchwork quilt done in various shades of green. :) I did have a great holiday weekend and I hope you did too!
When I think of the American countryside I have images in my head that are so close to your photos. I live on the sub tropical coast of Eastern Australia. Our son is in the Australian Air Force based in Sydney. This is a two day drive from us. I often send him photos so understand what you're doing this for.
Jane, I love the area of the world that you live in. It is so pretty and very similar to Hawaii where I grew up. :) I'm glad you stopped by my blog and I look forward to getting to know you!
So beautiful! I love those rolling hill pictures, and the quaint pictures of your town! It is amazing to see all the beautiful farms and things that are growing. I'm sure your son was so happy to enjoy these pictures and a view of home!!! Have a happy and blessed weekend my friend!
Well hello there! :) I enjoyed sharing the pictures not only with him, but with everyone else who stops in to visit me here. I hope you are ready for the upcoming heat wave due to hit this weekend. I'm just glad it is not going to be a hot as they originally forecasted! Have a great weekend and stay cool!
Thank you for taking time to comment on my blog posts. I really appreciate it and being able to get to know you through your comments. I hope you have a wonderful day!
What a beautiful area you live in.
