Beautiful Blossoms

Rufus is demonstrating perfectly how I feel today.  I'm out of juice...zip, nada, none.  So, instead of a blog post filled with ways I saved money today or cute grandboys, I will instead share some of the lovely blossoms from my garden.  Have a wonderful day!

  1. Beautiful blooms ... I'm jealous as we don't have any yet ... a couple more weeks to go.

    Blessings,

    1. Mrs. B,

I can't wait to see the blooms in your garden! It will be perfect timing as mine will fade and your's will be brilliantly beautiful. :) I will then live vicariously through you. ;)

      Have a wonderful day!

      Be blessed,
      Debbie

  2. Love your kitties. And your flowers are amazing.
Sending hugs and hoping you bounce back quickly. I had a crash day Monday but it only lasted the one day. I've been careful to only do one or two things each morning the rest of the week. Mostly watering in my community gardens. I have sprouts of radish, beet and carrot. And the onion sets have cute little green sprouts as well. First time growing onions - but someone at the garden had free bulbs so I went with it. Enjoy your quiet day. SJ in Vancouver BC

    1. Hi SJ! I'm just doing a few things today also. I went shopping with my hubby this afternoon for flowers and veggies for the garden. Do you find gardening calming? I do. It takes the stress level way down for me when I can putter out there or water the plants.

    2. Hi Debbie - yes, I find gardening calming. I also find that it fills me up with energy. And, at my community garden,I am part of a committee that works some beds for a local food bank. So it gives me a sense of purpose - something that I miss since I'm not working right now.
I got to the pool today but really didn't work out much - mostly chatted with my friend/workout buddy as we kicked using kickboards. But, hey, I got there and did what I could. Saw your more recent post - well done on all your finds from the college students. SJ in Vancouver BC

  3. Beautiful! We've been enjoying roses for about a month and had a few jonquils.

Are those carnations in your last photo? They are one of my favorite flowers but I've never seen them actually growing.

    1. Rhonda, my roses are just starting to bloom. :) Those flowers that you were asking about it are actually peonies. Our adopted by love Grandma Anne gave us starts from her garden years ago and they have multiplied over the years. Every year when they come up and remember our dear Grandma Anne and the love she had for her garden and for us. :)

    1. Thanks Barbara, I did that for the most part today and then my hubby took me shopping for flowers and veggies for our garden. He then took me out to dinner. I love that man!

  5. Your flowers are gorgeous! I find when I'm out of gas, I just like to sit by the garden and admire the flowers and plants. So peaceful :-) And now, I have the honeybees to watch! They've turned out to be endlessly fascinating, especially doing their butt-wiggle water dance at the bird baths in the garden.

I hope you get rested up and have a great weekend Debbie!

    1. Hi Jessica. I love to do that too! That reminds me, I need to get my birdbath out and filled up for the bees and birds. I do need to find another place to put it though this year since Rufus is absolutely nuts and will try to go through the screened in porch to get to the birds if they are too close. ;)

    1. Awww...thank you! I bought more yesterday that will need to get planted this weekend. I found some more blueish Columbine (to replace the one that my hubby accidentally ripped out) and another color that I had never seen before. I also bought flowers for the pot on the front stairs and some things to make up my own hanging baskets along with tomato plants. :) My energy level today is much better. :)

    1. Thank you...I have been. :) I love flowers and am slowly adding more. My hubby knows to buy me flowering plants instead of a bouquet most of the time. That way the "gift" can be enjoyed for years to come. :)

I hope you have a great weekend!
