When You Get Shut Out of the Master Bedroom

Jeff needed to get some sleep on Tuesday afternoon/evening after the long holiday weekend before he headed to work later in the evening.  I closed the master bedroom door so that none of the fur babies would disturb him.  After some pitiful whining, I opened up the door to the back guest bedroom and promptly forgot about it for awhile.

After about an hour, I realized it was way too quite so I went to check things out.  I thought that only Midgey would be in the back bedroom, but nope, she was joined by not only Caesar, but by Doofy too.  They each found a comfy spot to claim as their own.

Does it surprise anyone that Doofy got on the pile of clean blankets and pillows on the top bunk where he could survey his "kingdom" from up high?   They are usually not allowed in this room so they were taking full advantage of it.

  2. Debbie,
It's so funny. I thought YOU got locked out of your bedroom when I first starting reading this post. I said to my husband, "Oh my goodness, she got shut out of her bedroom!" He's like "Who? What?" You can see how it went:) Anyway, I''m glad it wasn't you after all.

It looks like the critters sure did take advantage of the situation!

    1. LOL! That is funny! Don't worry, I am very good at picking locks on bedroom doors if that ever happened. I raised 3 boys so I know all the tricks. ;)

  3. Fur babies provide us with so much entertainment. They love being where we are. I think of my little dog as the Velcro child. Wherever I am, I know she is right there.

    1. I love that term "Velcro Child". :) Midgey, the soft gray haired cat is like that.

  4. Isn't it funny how animals will always go where they are not supposed to. One of our cats is on mom's bed every morning and she hates cats. I think it is funny. I tell her it is because she is a witch.

  5. Oh how cute! My dogs would whine nonstop if they couldn't be in the bedroom with me, too.

  6. I read this last night but didn't comment. It was the perfect thing to bring a smile to my face, thanks.
Also love the fur babies. Mine should be more comfortable today since it seems to be cooler and less smoke. Rain is forecast for Friday --hopefully that will happen.
Off for some more lab work -- prayers would be appreciated. Take good care

  7. Ha ha ha ha!!! And that's exactly why the door to my bedroom AND the guest room are always closed!! Lord knows my furbabies take full advantage of every other piece of furniture in the house!

    1. Hi Debbie, mine do too! Every day I am cleaning fur off the furniture. I just bought a brush for the cats yesterday and am hoping that a good brushing will help with the fur and the coughing up hairballs problem. ;)

  8. Too funny! Dancer has been locked out of the master bedroom, here, too, because I don't want him on my bed until he is completely flea-free. He hated it and would sit outside the door and cry. But, these last couple of nights, he seems to have accepted it.
