Lake Time With the Little Boys

Last Tuesday, before Rachel had to be rushed to the emergency room and then immediately admitted to the hospital, I spent part of the day with Heather, Bradley and Isaiah up at Rocky Point.  Most of the time we had the park all to ourselves and it was glorious!  Sandcastles were built, water fights ensued, looking for pretty rocks while beachcombing was done, looking for fish, playing on the playground and watching some butterflies do their mating dances provided more entertainment and wonder.  It was one of those perfect days where you just wish time would stand still while you soaked in every wonderful moment of it!  I am so thankful that Heather got ahold of me and asked me to go with them and I am hoping we can do it again soon.

  1. Sounds like a perfect day! I am glad you were able to enjoy such a fun day! Time spent with the grand boys doing very important things is priceless! And I am sure your daughter in law appreciated your company and another pair of eyes to watch the kids, as well; I know I would have. What lovely scenery, too!

Hope all is well with your other daughter in law; I read that she is home again. So glad to hear it.

    1. Thank you Bless! It was wonderful to have that time with them. :) Any time I can spend time with the grandboys and my sons and daughters is so precious. It was fun to see the world through the eyes of my grandboys too!

  2. Your pictures just looked like "Summer" to me. What a fun place to go to. And that playground looks like a lot of fun for those energetic grandsons of yours. Glad you could get that fun time in with them.
Still praying for health for your Rachael. Take good care of yourself.
I've got a little break from my gardening routine as it started raining again yesterday. We're into our true June weather here - rain interspersed with some sunny or 'not raining' days.
Take good care of yourself. SJ

    1. Hi SJ! The temps were in the high 80's and low 90's here. We did have a great time together.

Thank you for your continued prayers for our Rachel. She is still dealing with a lot but is home.

Jeff and I got the tomatoes and squash in yesterday and the beans planted the day before. It was in the 90's yesterday so it wore me out. The temps are in the 60's today and I am enjoying the cooler weather.

Take care of yourself too. I am having another flare, but they are not as bad as they used to be. Be blessed my friend!

    1. HI Debbie, Rachel got really sick after having baby and we came close to losing her to sepsis and other infections. It was a very scary time for us all. She is at home now after 5 days in the hospital and is on antibiotics for a few weeks. She still has a way to go to heal.

  7. Debbie, I've only read about Rachel today. We've been busy with our work around the house, but we are praying for her, for your friend and all of your family. As it says in Psalms 37:5 "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act."
I remembered your son Josh the other day, because my husband and I went to the Air Force Museum and they had F16 and Epsilon air shows. We loved it and I put some photos in my blog, if you want to see the old and new portuguese airplanes!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and that Rachel can come home soon!
    :)

    1. HI Paula. :) Thank you! I am so behind on my blog reading but can't wait to go and read your post. I love going to Air Force Museums and seeing the old planes. They have one in Ohio that I spent hours in as a child when I went to visit my grandfather. Be blessed my friend!
