Soaking in Fall 2017

I know I have not been giving this blog much attention for the past 5 days.  You see, we knew bad weather was coming and it arrived today.  It is currently dark, dreary and raining outside, with snow to follow within the next few days.  Before this weather system came in, my husband and I were busy getting things done outside in the yard to prepare for the bad weather.  It was not all work though.  Walks were taken and time spent with the grandboys and our kids were made a top priority.  Here is just a glimpse of what we have been up to...

   Happy Fall!

  1. Looks like fun! Perfect fall days--good memories for the upcoming dreary ones. We are expecting buckets of rain, starting tonight! Even now, it looks like it's rolling in and it's only 2pm.

I love your squirrel picture! Great shot:)

  3. Great photos - fun in the park! And look how baby-Steven has grown..wow.
Snow is predicted in my neighborhood tomorrow night and Friday/ Yikes. Snow this early in the city is really early for us. It usually hits the US Thanksgiving wkd at the earliest. Not this year - but we'll see if the forecast holds. At least almost all the trees around my apartment have dropped their leaves. I got my oil changed in my car this morning which was one of the last things I really wanted to get done before bad weather.
Today was a glorious Fall day - full sun and cloudless until about 3
    Take good care. SJ

    1. Hi SJ. :) The snow really had been early this year. I can't believe we had snow in mid October here. I'm glad the leaves are mostly dropped for you so that means less of a chance of losing power from heavy wet snow. Good for you for getting your car ready...we still have a radiator flush to do next Monday and need to rotate the tires on my car. Be blessed!

  4. We had some flurries this morning. Thankfully nothing stuck. It was been rainy and gray here. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some sunshine before the weather turned.

    1. Hi Wendi...did Megan enjoy seeing the first snow of the season? It always seems magical to me. :) Sorry about the gray and wet...I can handle a few days of that and then it just becomes depressing.

  6. Being here in Hawaii, has actually made me miss snow. I never thought I'd say that, but one good snowfall would be nice. I hope you share lots of snow pictures this winter, Debbie:-) M

    3. Soak in some of that sunshine for me (once all the rain clears). Make sure to go to the North Shore to watch the huge surf competition that they have there...it's amazing!

  7. We caught up to you. Woke up to snow this morning. It's not bad, yet. I can still see the grass poking through and the sidewalks are clear. Forecast, though, is for more snow today.
    Cheers, SJ

  9. Looks like you made the best of the evening before the storm hit! So much fun in the park with your family! It is a lot of work to get ready for snow, but glad you found time to play too! We got 8" here, approximately, with more on the way, they say coming tomorrow. Wow, I guess fall just got shoved out the back door! LOL... hugs to you today :)

    1. Thanks Meg. One of the things I love most about living in this area is that we get to experience all 4 seasons...albeit Fall was rather short this year. ;)
